Firmiana is a Chinese art organisation dedicated to artistic and cultural growth inspired by the natural world. Supporting creators whose work reimagines our relationship with the environment and with one another, Firmiana cultivates spaces for reflection, collaboration, and renewal.

The visual identity is inspired by the Firmiana simplex — also known as the Chinese parasol tree — long celebrated in Chinese culture as a symbol of elegance, integrity, and creative flourishing. The visual language reflects Firmiana’s mission: to nurture art that bridges human experience and the living world.

Natural illustrations, and a serene typographic system come together to express the organisation’s ethos — growth, harmony, and interdependence.

The Firmiana logo draws inspiration from the Chinese symbol for ‘tree’. It grows upward and outward — a visual metaphor of connection and creative expansion. The rounded, organic word-mark complements this spirit, reflecting natural balance and harmony.

The Firmiana illustrations have been created using a hybrid process — original ink drawings were digitally enhanced with AI to achieve greater depth and texture.
